Mary Jane Copps became an entrepreneur at age 27. Her first company, Media Link Inc., was North America’s first online research directory for journalists. After selling her shares in 2001, Mary Jane worked with a colleague to grow their software business and then, in 2006, launched The Phone Lady.  

Since that time she has worked with over 500 companies and organizations in Canada, United States, England and Australia, improving their communication skills with both clients/customers and potential clients. Connect on LinkedIn.

Mary Jane has worked with individual startups and accelerators throughout Canada, assisting innovators to create and execute their sales strategies. She’s also worked with small businesses, from freelance writers to home builders, helping them create consistent revenue.  

In May 2016, Mary Jane was awarded the national BDC Mentorship Award through Futurpreneur Canada for her work with young entrepreneurs.. 

She has been profiled as a communications expert by the Wall Street Journal, Fox & Friends, Bloomberg, National Post, The Globe & Mail, CBC, CTV, Global as well as other publications, television and radio outlets throughout North America, Australia and France.
